Detox
Detoxification (detox) is the process of clearing the body of drugs or alcohol that an individual has consumed. Detox aims to safely manage withdrawal symptoms when someone stops taking drugs or alcohol.
Everyone has a different experience with detox. The type of drug and how long it was used affect what detox will be like.

1
Can I Detox At Home?
Choosing to detox at home can be dangerous and potentially deadly. Quitting “cold turkey” or without medical supervision can lead to serious issues such as seizures and severe dehydration. Detoxing in a medical setting is often much safer and more comfortable. Please consult an addiction treatment professional to determine your best detox plan.
2
How long will detox take?
On average, detox takes 5 days, but can range from 3 to 10 days. However, your exact length of stay depends on a variety of factors: the substance(s) you are using, the amount of substance(s) you are using, and for how long you have been using the substance(s).
3
How much does detox cost?
Each individual has different treatment needs, so the cost varies based on the treatment program type and treatment length. Please call our admissions team to receive a cost estimate for your specific conditions.
4
Can my family visit me while I’m in detox?
In order to enable you to fully focus on your recovery, we do not allow visitors during your stay in our detox program.
